Gerund oder Infinitiv nach "would enjoy"?

Gerund oder Infinitiv nach "would enjoy"?

    Comment

    Hallo liebe Lions,

in meiner Grammatik steht, das nach "would like", "would love"," would hate" und "would prefer" immer der Infinitiv stehen muss.

I would enjoy going/to go to the cinema with you."

Since no one else is biting...

Without knowing any "rules"/patterns for this, my NES instinct says that "would enjoy" would typically be followed by a gerund.

    Agree: would enjoy + gerund

I would say that same would also apply without the "would", and indeed for any tense and mood.
