Well, contrary to popular belief, I don't find this thread wrong or uninteresting, or more of the same old, same old.
(SD3 asked for it to be deleted, and tigger called me indirectly a "Depp" in Betrifft Leo! *rollswithpunches*)
I truly wonder (plus the Leo community changes over time) what's the best.
#18. It was a tiny bit like that. (How I was taught to register.)
@CA81, I always value your words. They are chosen carefully. To respond briefly, my query was not (born) out of boredom.
I know if registered, you can always write "black" to let people know it's you, but I've seen that get abused.
My feeling is this from Katydid (#25):
-- I find registration useful as it helps me to consider the source of comments. That's important to me in weighing how much credence to give them.
and this from naarna (last post, #26):
... aber ich finde es gehört dazu - wenn die Möglichkeiten gegeben sind - sich zu registrieren, wenn man in einem Forum seine Beiträge leisten will..
Is there a downside to registering? To this day, I don't understand the difference, but I do know that it appears more advantageous and better for the community if everyone were blue. For example, this thread is all blue. If the "black" users would register, they could participate. It would add to the conversation.
I've also never understood why by far the majority of incoming queries are from "black" users.
Anyway, maybe this topic is stale for some, but not to me.
