    to translate into/to

    Ich lese manchmal Sätze wie diesen:

    High pollinator visitation rates translate to high gene flow.

    Ich würde statt "to" eher "into" nehmen.
    Auch LEO hat anscheinend nur "into"
    Ist "to" regulär falsch? Ist es im Schriftlichen völlig akzeptabel?

    Where "translate" means "render in another language" or something quite close to that, I would only use "into".

    In the different sense of "result in" or similar, I find "to" normal.
