Hey, can you say "to put s.o. in a dilemma" ( for "jmdn. in eine Zwickmühle / in ein Dilemma bringen" )?

To answer the OP's question: something can put someone in a dilemma, but I don't think someone can put someone else in it. Generally, I'd rather go with "create a dilemma for someone."

    Something can present a dilemma.

For cases where someone is presenting a dilemma (or etc.), I think it usually the existence of or some fact about that person that is presenting the dilemma, rather than an intentional act.

    Generally, as dude says.

In AE, I've often heard the expression "You've put me in a dilemma." It's completely understandable (nothing ambiguous about it), and I see nothing wrong with it at all.
