I still think "Ellie Haddington" looks remarkably like Ian McKellen. For anyone wanting another shot, see 'Endeavour' (= young Morse) on PBS, season 5, episode 5, 'Quartet.'
For another possible drag persona, here's one I thought about a while back and only just now remembered: "Haydn Gwynne" playing "Professor Jane Milton" in "Father Brown," season 3, episode 5 "The Last Man," looked to me remarkably like Mark Gatiss, most recently of "Sherlock."

Looking at them both side by side, well, maybe not. Her teeth seem longer, and his eyebrows seem more devilish. But still.
Another cross-generational one came up during "Jewel in the Crown," which has been re-airing on PBS (and is absolutely worth watching again). Susan Wooldridge, who played Daphne Manners, reminded me strangely of Rupert Penry-Jones, of "Spooks"/"MI5" and "Whitechapel." But apparently they're no relation, never mind.

Okay, and one more that I'm sure is not literally right, but nevertheless I would be interested if anyone could tell me what drew my attention to the similarity.
I'm pretty sure that Wim Willaert as "Jacques Moreau" in season 3 of "The
Tunnel" is not the same person as any English-speaking actor. But what about him reminded me, a little, of Martin Freeman as Watson in "Sherlock"?

Maybe I'm just delusional. If so, please don't say so.
But am I the only person who sees similarities like this? What would face-recognition programs make of this kind of thing?
