Hola aus dem Off.
I'm sorry to hear of those under the weather, but hope all your antigen and PCR tests continue to be negative, and that you'll isolate anyway.
Our brand of throat spray is Chloraseptic, which totally fits the description (nasty, makes you gag, but kills germs).
Its active ingredient is phenol ..., a compound whose antiseptic properties were discovered by Friedlieb Ferdinand Runge.
Menthol cough drops, worth a try. The strongest lozenges we can get are Cepacol, but they too taste bad and numb your tongue. Neverthless, if you ever go to Canada, get the blackcurrant ones, which are totally worth it, a flavor we can't even get here.
Other than that, there's always rest, isolation, and soothing liquids. Anuka honey in spice tea could have an antibacterial effect. Or gargling with salt water or Listerine, or hot salty chicken soup or the non-chicken equivalent.
And get-well wishes, which I hereby send. I wish I could also send some of our sunny, mild weather.
Happy rest of 2021, including happy reunions. (-:
[Von] Euch zu wissen! ... tut immer noch gut.
Sorry, didn't mean to intrude, much less kill the thread.
