Like "Print Preview", it would be nice to a SUBMIT PREVIEW function for Leo submissions. This would allow you to test a submission, and see what it would look like in LEO, without really updating the database.
I see two possible implementations:
. o check box near the SEND button, defaults to unchecked
. o new button, PREVIEW or something, near the SEND button
I would use this occasionally for tricky submissions involving URLs that I suspect won't be handled correctly, for quoting issues, and for the rare cases of discussing Html or using characters which I suspect will screw up the display.
Currently I'm trying to answer "charlie" in the French forum about why her browser accents are wrong, and I'm afraid to write what I want to write, because I'm pretty sure (but not certain) that Leo won't display my response correctly, and I'll end up confusing her even more, not my intention. Other times it would be nice to have, just for its proof-reading value, as the submission never looks quite like the way you type it in the TEXTAREA box.
The result page should look exactly like the "Input too Large" reply page (with different red text of course) and would give a view of the submission, analogous to the way a "Print Preview" function allows you to see how your page will print without really doing so.
Finally, this "Submit Preview" page, or whatever you want to call it, should function precisely like the original reply page, that is to say, allow you once again to either PREVIEW or SEND.
