Dragon, Kurtl, BlueHat, Ghol, Jico,
I would like to thank all of yall (or y'all, it doe'n 't matter, yes "doe'n 't", that is excactly how I say it) for answering my Posts: they were actually all great posts. Honest. Actually, I was a little bit OT when I put that "4 more years, All the Way US of A) at the end of my Message, as a matter of fact, my apologies; it is just that as I was fixing to send the post, "W" appeared in public to give his Victory Speech.
I have to tell you that a) using yall or y'all is actually a very common way of addressing people all across the South (we say "yes ma'am, and yes sir", we have manners ... :-) unlike them yankees up North :-) ).
"wer nicht mit uns im Kampf gegen die Terroristen ist, ist gegen uns", so der Bus(c)h. So einen riesigen Unterschied gibt's schon zwischen was du gesagt hast und was der Busch eigentlich gesagt hat, oder ?
Thank you for your Post and your kind words. It was actually very nice, you seem to be a true Gentleman. And I will stick around, because I strongly believe that the contribution of the ordinary person is very important:academia are unfortunately pretty distant from the common, every day language that everybody uses: I mean "pituitary comment", "aping", "my faulty politics", "discourse" ????? Who in the world talks like that ???? it simply sounds hilarious !!!!! So pompous...
I also agree with you wholeheartedly: Liberals on Campus (who are the vast majority of teachers and even students) often refer to bush voters as "ignorant", "stupid". "dumb", etc. And they think they speak for the people, which is absolutely untrue.
Und I miass dir lei sogn: Danke, gell. So a netter pua bisch du!!! I farsuch schun a bissl Deitsch zu sprechn ... Gonz schian doss du so viel Geduld mit mir hosch !!!!!!
