    The arguments are spread over the whole book? oder "scattered over"?

    Es geht darum, dass sich an verschiendensten Stellen in einem Buch Argumente für eine bestimmte These finden lassen. Ich hatte zunächst "scattered within", dann war ich mir über Präposition und Konnotation (ist scattered nicht eher negativ) nicht sicher. Ist "spread over" richtig und besser? Oder was würde man sonst sagen?

    I think spread across the entire book would be my choice. Scattered across is also possible, but I agree with you that scattered may sound a little negative.
