    Asylantrag positiv bewerten

    Subject

    Asylantrag positiv bewerten

    Sources
Context: Weil XXX bei einer Rückkehr nach X verhaftet werden würde, wird sein Asylantrag positiv bewertet.

As XX would be arrested if he were to return to X his application for asylum received a positive answer / is given a positive evaluation?

Since X would be arrested if he returned to X, his asylum application will be approved.

Hm. Whether "approved" actually fits, depends on whether XXX will be officially notified (then yes), or whether it's an entirely internal thing (then maybe not). So it all depends entirely on the broader context ;-)

Ein Asylantrag ist immer ein offizieller Antrag in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, daher kann man auch getrost "will be approved positively" schreiben.

"will be approved positively" isn't idiomatic English, at least not AE. Something is either approved or rejected, there's not "positive" or "negative" necessary. You can't approve something negatively, for instance.
