    mehr Kontext ist nötig. Gerade wie angegeben kann zweierlei Bedeutung haben: Level oder straight und at the moment oder just now.

    Bin leider kein Englisch-Muttersprachler ...

    Aber "straigthly" (Adverb) passt hier m. E. nicht.

    ("gerade" bezieht sich ja auf die Bilder als solche - nicht auf die Tätigkeit des Einfügens ... die Bilder werden nicht "auf gerade Art und Weise eingefügt", sondern so, dass sie gerade sind.)

    Ob "inserted straight" hier passen würde, mögen unsere Native Speakers entscheiden ...

    Re OP.

    What are you referring to? Pictures are inserted into what? And are we talking about instructions on how to operate a machine ("Insert the pictures . . ."), or is it just a description of how the process works?

    It is a description of how to insert pictures in a PowerPoint slide (nur für Kollegen, nicht für Kunden)

    I would say "Put the pictures in straight." Some other NES might prefer "Insert the pictures straight"--which might be OK--but I like the former better. To me, "Insert the pictures straight" sounds odd.
