Und von USB-C fang ich gar nicht erst an....wer für die Zukunft ein Macbook ausrüstet, der sollte nicht einen Kopfhörereingang verbauen, den man beim iPhone entfernt hat.

    Hi everyone,

Can anyone please help with the sense of the verbs "ausrüsten" and "verbauen" in the above sentence? Here's my best attempt at the rest of the text below:

"And don't even get me started on USB-C... anyone [???] a MacBook for the future shouldn't [???] a headphone jack, which has been removed from the iPhone."

Many thanks in advance for any help/suggestions!

    Vorschlag: verbauen = install

Anyone putting together a MB for the future shouldn't install a headphone jack (kein Komma!) that has been (was?) removed ...

Keine Gewähr für die Verben und schon gar nicht die Zeitform, aber du hast hier einen defining relative clause, also darf nach jack kein Komma stehen.

    Thanks for your suggestions!

However, I'm not sure I'd agree that this is a defining relative clause, Yarith; the information contained in the relative clause isn't essential, but supplementary. The two sentences can stand alone, i.e.:

"And don't even get me started on USB-C... anyone putting together a MacBook for the future shouldn't install a headphone jack. The headphone jack has been removed from the iPhone."
