comparing of different curricula to deduce/derive school textbook contents
    Comment
Macht das halbwegs Sinn? Ich weiss nicht, ob man deduce oder derive verwendet...

comparing of curriculums (curricula) / syllabuses (syllabi) to derive/deduce the contents of school textbooks
makes sense, but the wording is a bit strange
I would say "to decide on the content" or something like that

    Or did I mix it up with 'arrive' ? . . .

usually derived / deduced from something
I think this is why it sounds a bit strange
better, perhaps: the contents of the school text books are derived/decduced from a comparison of curricula
