I can fill you in, no worries, you don't have to read through 300 comments ;)
My Dad is poorly, he's had a brain-tumor removed the day before yesterday, so I am constantly on the edge, will I have to return home or not? (I would like to go home, but my dad says that would be too pessimistic and I should stay, because he doesn't want me to miss this opportunity...)
Yes, honestly, Jersey is... unique. It's so small, but there are huge differences, like, the North coast is beautiful, wild, rugged, the South coast is very Southern, mild, almost tropical.
The roads are so narrow and the sign-posting is really bad. I keep losing my way (but then, it's an island... If you reach the coast, just turn round and drive the other way ^^)
And at night it's so unbelievably DARK! No streetlamps. Lovely starry sky, of course :)
And as I said, this zoo, I can't say it often enough! The people working for it are SO passionate, and they know so much, and they are so much into conservation programms. And they really, really care. It's amazing. I've never seen so much dedication. It's surreal!
