Grünspan entsteht durch das Verwittern von Kupfer(dächern).

Grünspan gibt es meiner Meinung nach nur auf Kupfer oder Messing, nicht jedoch auf Kunststoff. Könnte man es evtl. einfach Verfärbung nennen?

Bei Kunststoffmöbeln ist das eher Moos. Oder eventuell Algen, wenn es sehr feucht ist.

Oder Pilze, dann wird's aber eher schwärzlich.

Da gibt die wörtliche Entsprechung 'greenspan', aber dieser Herr war bis vor kurzem für das Weltgelt verantwortlich. Und nicht allein für Möbel.

'vergris' ist die funktionsmäßige Äquivalent: Kupferkorrosion.

Kunststoffmöbel bestehen nicht aus Kupfer. Da gibt es keinen Grünspan.
