    R&R time

Any plans yet for work - or perhaps you need some R&R time?
Kann mir jemand sagen wofür genau die Abkürzung R&R steht?

Even though it sounds a bit redundant, that's how I learned it.

Danke! Also im Prinzip wie gap year/time ja?

No, it means a little vacation.
And Kollegin it's "recreation". Remember the M*A*S*H television series. R&R in Tokyo was the alltime hit with the troops.

@Helmi: I'm just telling you what I heard growing up, not contradicting you. I would say both are viable choices. In any case, Merci understands!
