Senza più contesto non si capisce di cosa si parla. Forse:

Poi sprofondò (calò) a poco a poco attraverso tutto.

Oppure:
Poi, poco a poco, si inabissò.

Secondo me questo "durch alles durch" (attraverso tutto) in italiano si può anche omettere.
