    They’re all wrong ("number of advertising" is not correct). You could say:

    The number of … adverts has increased.
    or
    The volume of advertising for health and food products has increased.

    Thanks, Walker, consequently ....the number of.... is only used with countable nouns?

    That is correct. With uncountable nouns (e.g. money) ones uses amount or volume.
