The Necessary Commodities Control Commission was established under the Necessary Commodities Control Act, 1914, and
defined “necessary commodity” as any of:
(a) Coal, firewood, coke, or other fuel
(b) Gas for lighting, cooking, or industrial purposes
(c) Any article of food or drink for man or for any domesticated animal
(d) Any article which entered into or was used in the composition or preparation of any of the foregoing
(e) Any article which, after a report of the Commission, has by resolution of both Houses of Parliament been declared to be a necessary commodity. http://investigator.records.nsw.gov.au/Entity...
