Lythrum salicaria), Great Hairy Willow Herb, Queen of the Meadow, and the large flat leaves of the White Water Lily (
Nymphaea alba), may be seen darting hither and thither the Coot, the Tern, and many other species of water fowl, in whose movements and preservation the noble owner — in a true Selbornian spirit — takes the most lively interest.
