Liebe Lions,
ich bin nicht sicher, ob Present Perfect Progressive hier richtig ist. Eigentlich ist "last" ja ein Signalwort für simple past, aber ich würde denken, die Betonung liegt doch auf der Dauer, so dass man vielleicht das progressive nehmen sollte?!
Ich danke euch sehr für die Hilfe!!
Is he still working there? In which case, yes, the English sentence is correct.
If he has left that job, then:
He worked there for the last nine months (and now he's back at his original workplace)
At least in AE, I'd prefer "past nine months" if that changes your understanding of the "signal word" (which I know little about). (I'd say that your form of the verb is correct.)
I'm wondering, though: Is that the use of "last" that really is a signal word for the simple past? (I could see it as "He worked there last year.")
Ok, thank you both very much for your help! He has left the job and moved, so the right tense would be simple past. Thank you as well for the help with "past" instead of "last"! :)
Wie lautet das Deutsche? In der Kopfzeile fehlt das Verb.
(Das könnte dann vom LEO-Team nachgetragen werden, da das nicht irrelevant ist).
Huhu, Demandeuse! Da trifft man sich beim Nachbarn wieder ;-D
