So in addition to marking 'kitchen roll' as BE,
we could also add entries such as
paper towels (pl.) (Amer.) – die Küchenrolle
paper towel (sing.) (Amer.) – Blatt von der Küchenrolle
and possibly even also add the yet more thrilling pairs
kitchen roll holder (Brit.) – der Küchenrollenhalter
paper towel holder (Amer.) – der Küchenrollenhalter
That is ... looking back at Amy's post belatedly, should we by any chance review Küchentuch as well? Is it in fact right that it can refer to a paper towel? If so, maybe that's the word we need instead of 'Blatt,' and it's already there?
It's just that, for me personally in AE, a kitchen towel is not paper, but rather a cloth towel used mainly to dry hands and dishes -- an alternate term for a dish towel.
So I just wondered ...
