Sorry for the lateness of my response but I had far more interesting things to do after I'd finished my long translation such as clean the litter box etc
Although I have offered you a private forum many, many times you seem to thrive on public humiliation – and who am I to gainsay you?
I know you are not an English teacher and I doubt that you are even a grown-up.
Might I start off by saying that your main issue is quite clearly that
you do not know what you do not know –
You believe yourself an expert on the English language but your “suggestions/comments” all over LEO clearly prove otherwise
You see absolutely no difference between the common phrase “wanton rape and pillaging” of a sentence and the physical & literal violation/rape of a human being?
I can’t believe that anyone with even the most minimal training in English could possibly believe that anyone anywhere would actually hire you, with your lack of skill, as an English teacher.
From your very first post it was clear to me that you were in no way, shape, mean or form an English teacher – I do, however believe that you have intimate knowledge of an eighth grade reader because your posts seem to point to an eighth grade intellect.
I actually used this thread, with all your nonsense, for giggles, with one of my B2 classes yesterday and they were more than able to point out most of your errors – does this mean B2 students are capable of teaching English, as you claim to do, because they saw mistakes where you saw none? Please let us all know where you “teach” as the school seems to be in desperate need of competent teachers and I have many students who are quite obviously more capable than yourself.
I previously used the term “contradict”, to be polite, in this thread – but I will now, as you seem to have no objection to being publicly outed, use the word “lie”.
In your twadldle# 57 referring to your nonsensical Schwarzenegger post you say: You might reflect again the meaning of the sentence: "Sometimes it's okay to make mistakes." The word mistake is still in there, see? I didn't say that it was no mistake (sic)[i/] again, aside for the egregious errors here -
You now admit that the Schwarzenegger quote was a mistake – however you initially posted it as “proof” (see # 14) of your inane entries.. You insult the intelligence of everyone reading this thread by thinking that they don’t have the mental acuity to see how you lie to suit your purpose. Initially you implied that it was perfect English and proof of the correctness of your entry– now that it’s pointed out as nonsense you say The word mistake is still in there, see? I didn't say that it was no mistake and that’s ok? Have you forgotten to take your medication?
First you say: a compilation of his interviews with American immigrants, which was recommended to us for teaching purposes in the context of immigration. Now you say it was for pointing out errors?
And Helloooooooooo? I gave credence to by referring to secondary scientific literature Who adjudicated you judge and jury of credence and when did Hesse become scientific literature? Did I miss the memo?
BTW I’ve noticed that you seem to enjoy picking up words and phrases from my posts e.g credence, tedious, etc and use them but I have yet to see you use them correctly
Quote maxxxpf “I must really say that teaching English is usually funto me? Must you? - Really – Must you say this? It’s funto me???… Is this a new formulation that ignorant non-republican, native speakers are unaware of? …, but the task of making students aware of very sloppy language by native speakers is sometime a tedious one Sometime? Not sometimes? Is this a republican usage that I am unaware of? How can you possibly have the audacity to claim to point out the “very sloppy language by native speakers” when you can’t even figure out your own mistakes? You have lied numerous times about native speakers’ mistakes – claiming that you have heard common German errors from Americans - you don’t even know enough about the language to plausibly lie about common mistakes!. So I don't think it basically us speakers of English as a second language who mess it all upwho said anyone messed up the language[i/]. Although your sentence structure is clearly is f**ked beyond all get out!
An American singer once even said to me that he found it awkward how foreigners use such a stiff and "correct" language.”
As to your alleged encounter with the American singer, I doubt that it happened at all because you have lied about so much already, but if it did indeed happen might I suggest that the singer in question made the statement in an effort to make you feel less self conscious about your appalling English? Or perhaps, as is more likely, the singer could not express the difference between “stiff” and “stilted “or “correct” English and the common tendency among non-natives to avoid using contractions?
So English teacher[i/]:
Your initial few posts show that you have no concept of conditional /wish /if grammar
#20 shows that you do not understand the difference between the present perfect/past tense
# 27 shows that you do not understand the correct usage of “will” or the gerund
As you have yet to send me anything I don’t see how you can send me another anything – and I would appreciate it if in future you would refrain from posting anything even vaguely asserting that you and I would agree on anything, let alone established grammar that you had previously contested.
As to your most recent idiocy: And finally I wonder how big the group of people is that you would respect as equal partners in communication. I hope it's more than just you and dude, who, in my judgement, is an excellent translator, even though he has never heard before of the British term "away goal".(sic)
As far as equals in communication partner goes – it would clearly be anyone I was communicating with who was able to communicate in kind – although I dare say you meant to ask about peers in my field but, as usual, were unable to communicate the thought cogently. As to your judgement(sic) of dude as an excellent translator and his not knowing the term “away goal" – HOW DARE YOU? You offer structures such as : even though he has never heard before of the British term
and yet offer yourself up as a judge of his or anyone else’s English? Are you tripping? Do you pretend to know every single word and phrase in your language? It was one of the clues that led me to believe you were a kid
I have yet to see the dude post anything even vaguely off topic, he is always helpful. He clearly knows the most complicated rules of English, whereas you post crap, ignorance and constantly pat yourself on the back for twaddle, beg agreement for common sense as though you’d devised it yourself, drop names and generally muddle the field with your ignorance
BTW: If you work really, really hard and commit yourself totally to the language you might one day, in the far, far distant future, be somewhere close to the dude’s skills, although I doubt it – your judging his talent is like me judging that of a rocket scientist – SPEAK NOT OF WHAT YOU KNOW NOT!
BTW I’m still waiting for evidence of a single solitary compliment on your posts you’d mentioned many but I can find nary a one
