"lieblich" (z.B. vom Wein) und "Liebling" sind zwei ganz verschiedene 'Stiefel' (Dinge).

Auf Deutsch geht das immer:
Die Sanfte, die Weiche, das Grüne, ...

Wenn man im englischen ein Adjektiv als Substantiv verwenden will, wie zum Beispiel das Adjektiv sweet als Substantiv, so sagt man: "my sweet one". So könnte man also auch "My mellow one" sagen, doch dies würde dann wohl noch immer nicht Liebling bedeuten, sondern vielleicht eher meine Sanfte oder so etwas.
